Jr. Islanders Select Team
The Jr. Islanders Select Team sponsored by Habberstad will compete in the 48th Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament 2007, held on February 8th to February 18th, and played at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec.
This team is coached and selected by New York Islanders Alumni Steve Webb and Benoit Hogue. The tournament invites teams from the United States, Canada, and Europe to compete in the most important minor hockey tournament in the world.
Previous participants through the Jr. Islanders Select Team include current NHL players Mike Komisarek (Montreal Canadiens), Chris Higgins (Montreal Canadiens) and first round draft pick Eric Nystrom (Calgary Flames). Some other notable tournament alumni include Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux, Eric Lindros, Brad Park, Marcel Dionne, and more. The age group for this tournament team is 11–12, or 1994 birthdays.
Jr. Islanders Hockey Camps
The Jr. Islanders will also host Hockey Camps ranging from learn to skate programs to Elite Hockey Programs. These camps are sponsored by our partners at Habberstad and are available throughout year long. For more information please visit www.iceworksli.com.
