Steve Webb

The team is coached by Steve Webb, who played for eight seasons in the NHL with the New York Islanders and Pittsburgh Penguins. He was a fan favorite with the New York Islanders and recipient of the Bob Nystrom award in 2003 for the Islander that best exemplifies hard work, leadership, and dedication on and off the ice.

Bob Nystrom

Bob Nystrom, Mr. Islander, is once again involved with the development of the Jr. Islanders Select Team. Bob's career is well documented with the New York Islanders; a career that started with the Islanders conception in 1972. His 13 year career with the Islanders included Four Stanley Cups, including the famous 7:11 goal scored in Overtime of Game Six of the 1980 Stanley Cup Finals to clinch the Islanders first Championship. After his career he spent time as Assistant Coach with the Islanders, and has continued to serve as Dir. of Alumni Affairs with New York Islanders. Bob's number 23 was retired by the team on April 1st , 1995 with career numbers that included 900 games played, 235 goals & 278 assists.

Benoit Hogue

Benoit Hogue, a recipient of the Bob Nystrom award in 1993, played 16 seasons in NHL with the Islanders, Sabres, Stars, Lightning, Coyotes, Bruins, Capitals, and Maple Leafs. Benoit posted career high numbers with the Islanders in 1993 with 33 Goals/42 assist and 75 points.

Dan Bedard

Dan Bedard, a fixture with Long Island youth hockey, will also join the coaching staff for the 11th consecutive season. Dan is instrumental in the recent influx of Long Island players into Division 1A college hockey/professional hockey.
